846 ZKA Limpet spoil open

Light grey plastic body kit with Peco NR-122 chassis.

This 'rebuild' of plain box opens was achieved by cutting two large openings in the middle of the sides to prevent overloading. Several were further cut down and reclassified as Doorand (not covered by this kit). More of these conversions were done in later years. Repainting into civil engineers grey/yellow colours was often only partial. Later, under EWS, some had the openings filled in again for re-use as open wagons. Later still some were subsequently cut down for ballast spoil.
