701 pair Cast frame Y25 bogies

These kit bogies are moulded in black ABS and includes wheels, springs and couplings. The bogies are compatible with the Farish 'modern freight' bogie used under their 100ton tank and Freightliner wagons, but give a slightly closer coupling distance. Other wagon kits using these bogies have been produced by John Grey (now made by B.H. Enterprises) and Ian Stoate Models.

review from RAILWAY MODELLER July 1995

Taylor Plastic Models have added a new bogie kit to their impressive range of N scale parts and accessories. This type of bogie is designated Y25C and is a cast-frame development of the fabricated frame bogie which is also made by TPM as kit 700. The Y25C has been used under many British private owner wagons, some of them French built. In model form, the bogie is compatible with the Graham Farish 'modern freight' bogie used under their 100t tankers and Freightliner flats, and gives (even at 'long distance' setting) a slightly closer coupling.

The bogie parts are well moulded in ABS, and the instruction sheet clearly explains the straightforward assembly process. The recommended adhesives are Plastic Weld or Daywat Poly. Wheelsets are included.
